Colossal U Ad Campaign

=S
These Colossal University advertisements really confused me. I guess these ads don't even help people think that Colossal University would be a good school for them. Students should be able to have more than 1 expectation for themselves. This advertisement just proves that there's no freedom at this school. Why can't students narrow their own options instead of an actual school bossing theirs? And this the phrase "EVERY COLOSSAL U STUDENT WILL TURN OUT EXACTLY THE SAME, WE GUARANTEE IT." is pretty ridiculous. Isn't everybody supposed to be different? I mean there's probably a one in a billion chance that 2 babies that will be born in a second will turn out exactly the same. So how will about 5000 students at a university turn out exactly the same? Students should be able to learn at their own ability. And this other ad that includes the phrase "NEW IDEAS? NEW THINKING? NOT AT COLOSSAL U." Aren't students supposed to express their own ideas and thinking. I'm predicting that their probably isn't any social life going on at Colossal U. Even if this University called Colossal was my only choice out there, i still wouldn't decide to attend it. But whatever, i'm just expressing what i feel. So yeah!

Gaming gone wild! (y)

I've been introduced to video games ever since i was 7 years old, about 8 years ago when i got my first Playstation. It was given to me from my parents as a Christmas present. My friends from school were the ones who first showed what video games were. I eventually found it really fun and entertaining. I mean, who doesn't have fun playing video games? The more i played, the more i was attracted to my Playstation. My first ever game i think was a snowboarding game. Which was quite amusing. As I grew and grew, the more advanced video games became. For instance, the next Playstation right after the first one, Playstation 2 also known as PS2 was released in 2000. Which my little brother bought as well. As weird as it seems, he is more into video games then I am.

Years passed, and by 2005, my brother and I had an estimated total of 15 games for our PS2. Even though we had kind of a lot of games, we always played this one game that was extremely fun. It was called NBA Street Volume 2. Me and my brother always enjoyed basketball games and we found this one the most entertaining and fun out of all of our games. There was one day when me and my brother did not play video games at all. Eventually, we got really bored of our PS2 and stop playing it until new video game consoles came out. We waited another 7 years, and finally all new advanced consoles were released. The Playstation 3, The XBOX 360 and the Nintendo Wii. All of these systems were fun, but the PS3 was rumored to be the most technological system out of all 3. This was because it included Blu-Ray dvd player, free online gameplay and supposedly amazing graphics. But my brother bought the Nintendo Wii instead since it had better interactive game control featuring wireless controllers which gives you the ability for hand movement.

Several months passed the release of the PS3, the XBOX 360 and the Nintendo Wii. And finally a clash of rock music and interactive video games arrived called Rockband. Rockband had became a major fad. Rockband features a guitar, a drum set, and a mic. These all form a rockband which controls you simply follow on your t.v set. This game was huge in North America. So from super Nintendo to Atari, from Playstation 3 to the Nintendo Wii, from Super Mario to Rockband, from Duck hunt to Gears of War 2, video games will never leave our generation.

The campagn trail

I thought this ad for the Barack Obama and John MCcain campaign was a genius idea. When I first saw the "wassup 2008" commercial, i was very surprised. The reason why i was surprised was because I did not expect such a progression from one simple Bud Light beer commercial to a motivational statement of this video. This video brings out such a powerful movement to all American citizens out there. When the "Wassup" Budlight Beer commercial was played during media class, this really brought a quick flashback to the year of 2000, when I was still a young child. I still found it pretty funny though. But now its all about 2008, the year when Barack Obama became the president of the United States of America.

The main point of this advertisement was "change" promoted by Barack Obama. Barack made "change" such a hot topic probably ever since this advertisement was released on live t.v. I guarantee that most of the people living in America was blown away by this ad. It even kind of blew me away! I personally think Barack Obama has more winning strategies than John MCcain. He will literally move America forward into a positive future. Better and more affordable healthcare, inexpensive gas prices, less terrorism and war, etc; as seen in this advertisement. If Obama keeps his word, then America will become more of a bright and better country than the whole world expects.

Overall, i thought this advertisement was really intelligent and a creative way to express how Barack Obama proves that he is the perfect president for the United States of America.
